Description
ARMS-MBON is a network of more than 25 partners who deploy Autonomous Reef Monitoring Structures (ARMS) settlement units in the vicinity of marine stations and Long-term Ecological Research sites in European coastal waters and Ant/arctica. After a few months the units are brought up, and visual, photographic, and genetic assessments are made of the lifeforms that settled on them. This record contains the continuously-updated dataset describing and linking to the event, omics, visual, and photographic data and the documentation. more

The ARMS-MBON data will be used to assess the status of, and changes in, the hard-bottom communities of these near-coast environments. This project began in 2018 with a test year, and is still continuing, although it will soon be merged into EMBRC's EMO-BON project. The data here is a spreadsheet containing: the event metadata; links to the run accession numbers for the sequences archived in ENA; and (to come) links to the images and visual observations made during each sampling event by each partner. This data is continuously updated as new events are completed, new sequences are added to ENA, and new image data are created. This current version (Oct 2022) contains only the event and sequence metadata for all events for which there are sequences in ENA, for events from 2018 until 2020. More data and all documentation can be found on the ARMS-MBON GitHub repository (see links).
