Ghent University provides a unique combination of services allowing you to do research from sampling upon request to full analysis at the same access provider.

Some unique services:

  • ISO9001:2015 certified bacteria (BCCM/LMG) and diatom (BCCM/DCG) collections;
  • Meso- and microcosm facilities with controlled manipulation and monitoring for a wide range of seabed habitats and fauna
  • Lipidomics: GC-MS/FID, trace elements ICP-MS;
  • Imaging: laser capture microdissection, PAM fluorometry, hyperspectral camera, Flow Cytometry, compound and electron microscopy
  • Seabed fauna to use as model species and bioindicator for environmental change
  • State-of-the art infrastructure to study responses to environmental change
  • State-of-the-art biochemical compound screening of marine sources, including training and data analysis
