Hellenic Centre for Marine Research (HCMR)

The Hellenic Centre for Marine Research (HCMR) is the largest public centre for marine research in Greece. It is a governmental research organisation operating under the supervision of the General Secretariat for Research and Technology of the Ministry of Culture, Education and Religious Affairs. HCMR carries out multidisciplinary applied and basic scientific and technological research, including the experimental development, dissemination and implementation of its produced results.

HCMR comprises of three research Institutes, one of which – the Institute of Marine Biology, Biotechnology and Aquaculture (HCMR-IMBBC) – is a partner in EMBRC and runs the transnational access services within ASSEMBLE Plus.

HCMR will offer transnational access, lead JRA1, and contribute to NA2, NA3, NA4 and JRA5.
